Whitebridge House – Under Construction Photography

The pleasure in the experience of making a building is understandably at the completion of the project, but moments of making, the collaborations with the client, consultants, builders, sub-contractors, craftsmen, the discovery of unforeseen opportunities is equally valuable to us.

Reaching the construction phase is an exciting moment, we hope to record the construction of the Whitebridge House. Capturing all the key moments and exciting discoveries on the way. A lovely site, great bunch of people, the journey has commenced beyond paper and into physical form.

We feel fortunate to have met and began a collaboration with photographer Jon Reid Sharperstill. We commissioned Jon with the impossible task of capturing the split level concrete floor slabs.

The foundation to the design is the slab-on-ground concrete floors which have been setout and detailed to engage with and within the existing undulating natural ground. Two main ground floor slabs are setout 525mm apart (3 steps) allowing on-grade connection with the proposed external ground levels and landscaping and anchoring the house in the undulating terrain.
